It’s always a pleasure to come across newer artists who deliver music that really stands up against the more established artists of the time, and NRK are proud to pick up their first (of many, they hope) EPs from Ireland’s Brendon Gregoriy (aka Chymera). On “Wish”, Chymera really delivers what could be the next logical step from UR’s “Knights Of The Jaguar”. Pulsating rhythms, deep luscious strings, and the Detroit influence oozing from every pore, “Wish” is already being hailed as one of those house/techno/trance crossover tunes…..whatever the genre, this track is truly uplifting and immaculately produced.“Eucalyptic” is more for the heads, nicely building chords and melodious keys laiden with atmospherics, whilst “A Question” is a deep, brooding and intricate production which touches all the right buttons. There’s no doubt that Chymera is a superb talent and defo one to watch.
